Utkarsh means to grow, to prosper, to rise; to rise from the levels of mediocrity and raise to the 'Platform for Excellence'.

Under the able guidance of Prof. P.L.Arya, N.L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research(NLDIMSR) has gained recognition for its academic rigour and value based approach. NLDIMSR is in its 14th year and within such a short span of time has gone ahead to be included in the top 30 B-Schools in the country.

Utkarsh is a National Level Paper Presentation Competition organised by the HR CLUB of  NLDIMSR. It provides an opportunity to management students across the country to express their views on a topic that is confined not just to the HR domain but extends much beyond that. It's a stage where opinions are made, thoughts are challenged, new ideas are learnt and finally the overall knowledge is accentuated.

To make the cut for Utkarsh, participants are required to go through an elimination round which is usually in the form of a hard copy submission on the topic.

The final round which is a power point presentation by the shortlisted teams, is a great learning experience for the participants as well as for the audience. To add to this, judges who are eminent personalities from the corporate world also provide feedback to the participants, thereby, making the exposure all the more enriching.

Thus, Utkarsh is in absolute sync with the HR CLUB's motto of believing in ' Vision Beyond Horizon'.
